MOSS BLUFF, TX — May 10, 2025 — A tragic utility terrain vehicle (UTV) accident in the early hours of Saturday claimed the life of one woman and left two others injured in the Moss Bluff area of Liberty County.
According to Sgt. Rob Willoughby, supervisor for the Liberty County office of the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the crash occurred shortly before 1 a.m. on the 600 block of County Road 133. A John Deere side-by-side UTV, carrying two women and one man, left the roadway and struck a culvert, resulting in all three occupants being ejected from the vehicle.
The woman who died was pronounced dead at the scene. The other female passenger and the male driver sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Their current conditions have not been disclosed.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. No further information has been released at this time.
