A woman armed with a machete was shot by an FBI agent Thursday evening during a law enforcement operation in south Houston, authorities confirmed.
The incident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. in the 13800 block of Milan Drive, near a convenience store. The Houston Police Department (HPD) responded to reports of a shooting involving law enforcement at that location. About an hour later, FBI Houston acknowledged its presence at the scene, stating that agents were conducting law enforcement activity, but did not release additional details.
