Shooting at Wilmer-Hutchins High School Leaves One Student Injured

Dallas, TX – April 15, 2025 — A shooting at Wilmer-Hutchins High School in southern Dallas has left one student injured and prompted a swift response from local law enforcement and school officials.

Dallas Police responded to the scene around 1:00 p.m. following reports of gunfire on campus. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 17-year-old student suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower leg. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
