CAMP RUBY, TX — May 11, 2025 — A young Livingston woman was hospitalized Sunday morning following a serious one-vehicle crash in the Camp Ruby area of Polk County.

At approximately 9:12 a.m., emergency responders were dispatched to FM-1276, about two miles off U.S. Highway 190 East, where a black 2015 Nissan Versa had left the roadway, struck a tree, spun around, and overturned. The vehicle’s driver, 22-year-old Haylee Chyann Larive, was trapped inside the wreckage.
Crews from Allegiance Ambulance Service, the Alabama Coushatta Volunteer Fire Department Heavy Rescue Unit, and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, along with Texas Highway Patrol Troopers Simon Mijares and Johnny Wilkerson, responded swiftly to the scene. Firefighters successfully extricated Larive from the overturned vehicle, and she was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with injuries that were not disclosed.
Investigators believe unsafe speed was a factor in the crash. Larive is likely to face a citation pending further review by Texas DPS. The wreck partially blocked traffic on FM-1276 during the rescue and investigation.
The damaged vehicle was recovered by Fawbush Wrecker Service out of Goodrich.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
