LIVINGSTON, TX – May 6, 2025 – A major two-vehicle accident on Pan American Drive has claimed the life of a Livingston man and left several others injured.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5, when 78-year-old Daniel McFall, driving a silver 2012 Acura MDX, attempted to turn onto Pan American Drive from Redbird Street. As McFall entered the southbound lanes, his vehicle was struck broadside by a silver 2011 Ford Flex, driven by 78-year-old Jennifer Dixon, also of Livingston.
The impact of the collision sent McFall’s Acura spinning into the center median, coming to rest facing the opposite direction of travel. Dixon’s Ford Flex remained on the roadway following the crash.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, including Allegiance Ambulance Service, the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department’s Heavy Rescue Unit, deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, state troopers, and officers from the Livingston Police Department, including Police Chief Matt Parish. Witnesses at the scene reported multiple individuals sustained serious injuries.
McFall was transported to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Justice of the Peace Robert “Dooley” Johnson conducted an inquest at the hospital.
Dixon and two passengers in her vehicle, along with a passenger from McFall’s vehicle, were also transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The southbound side of Pan American Drive was closed for several hours as authorities investigated the scene and cleared debris. The Livingston Police Department is continuing its investigation into the incident.
