Vehicle Slams Into Loaded Trailer, BEECH CREEK, March 16, 2025

Vehicle Slams Into Loaded Trailer, BEECH CREEK, March 16, 2025 – At approximately 8:40 pm on March 16, 2025, a black 2006 Chevy Silverado (pulling a loaded trailer), driven by Gonzalo Ramirez Adjuntas, 70, of Livingston, was east-bound on US-190 East. Adjuntas was in the turning lane preparing to make a left turn when he suddenly cut left to avoid an oncoming tan 2003 Chevy Blazer. The Blazer was also in the turning lane and coming on in the opposite direction. Adjuntas said that if he didn’t cut left, there would’ve been a head on collision. When Adjuntas cut left, the blazer slammed broadside into his loaded trailer (loaded with heavy riding lawnmowers). Adjuntas’ vehicle came to rest on the left side of the pavement on the west-bound side of 190 while the Chevy Blazer (driven by Melvin Harris, 56, of Bryan) came to rest in the middle of the pavement on the west-bound side. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, and Troopers Terrence Dickens and Sean Barnes with The Texas Highway Patrol. Adjuntas was physically okay while Harris and his female passenger were both rushed by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital. All traffic on 190 East was blocked during investigation and cleanup. Wreckers from Fawbush Wrecker and from Dan’s Towing were summoned to recover the vehicles and trailer. This crash remains under investigation by The Texas Highway Patrol.
