On March 17, 2025, at approximately 1300 hours, Liberty County Sheriff’s Office deputies were on routine patrol in the Devers, Texas area. They observed a vehicle that matched the description of one being driven by a person with a valid felony warrant. The deputies initiated a traffic stop by activating the emergency lights and siren. The vehicle did not stop and was followed for approximately 3 miles before he pulled into his residence. The driver was identified as Steven Guillory, Jr.
The driver was removed from his vehicle and placed into custody. Another LCSO deputy arrived to assist. An inventory of the vehicle was made and a pack of cigarettes containing a clear back containing a crystal-like substance was found. Through prior training and experience, the deputies identified the substance as methamphetamine.
Steven Guillory, Jr. was charged with Evading Arrest/Detention with a motor vehicle – Felony 3, and Possession of a Controlled Substance – Felony 3, He was transported to the Liberty County Jail without incident.
