The Tyler County Sheriff’s Department says a trailer and motorcycle that were stolen in Polk County have been recovered and the suspect is behind bars.
According to the report, the suspect was seen heading towards Chester so deputies converged on that area and soon spotted him driving a GMC pickup truck and pulling the trailer with the motorcycle on it.
The report said deputies took the suspect into custody and then found methamphetamine and marijuana in the truck. He has been identified as 41-year-old Charles Denton, of New Waverly.
Denton was booked into the Tyler County Jail where he was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Driving while License Invalid. Denton was also wanted in Polk County on three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
Justice of the Peace Tina Self set his bond at $106,000.00 on the Tyler County criminal charges.
