Community Invited to Region-Wide Discussion on Vaping and Tobacco

Livingston, TX – The Alcohol and Drug Awareness Council (ADAC), through its Region 5 Prevention Resource Center, invites the public to attend“Clearing the Air: A Conversation on Vaping and Tobacco,” a free, region-wide event taking place onFriday, May 16, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.at the Livingston Chamber of Commerce.

 

This timely discussion brings together local leaders, educators, parents, and prevention advocates to explore the growing impact of vaping and tobacco use among youth in East Texas. Expert guest speaker Kim Arrington, LPC, will share insight into the mental health aspects of nicotine dependence and practical strategies for prevention.

The event will include data, resources, and open dialogue to better equip schools, families, and community organizations to address these critical public health issues.
