As of March 19, 2025, the Pauline Road Fire in San Jacinto County, Texas, has rapidly expanded to approximately 1,300 acres with only 10% containment. The wildfire, which began in the Sam Houston National Forest, has prompted evacuation orders for residents along Pauline Road, Lee Turner Road, Kirby Road, Big Buck Road, Hereford Way, and Blue Teal Road.

Dry and windy conditions have contributed to the fire’s swift growth, threatening around 300 homes. Evacuation shelters have been established at 255 Live Oak Street in Coldspring and at the East Montgomery County Community Center in Splendora. Additionally, the Caney Creek Cowboy Church in Conroe is accommodating displaced livestock.

Firefighters are working diligently to establish containment lines, utilizing aerial resources such as helicopters and planes to combat the blaze. Residents in the affected areas are urged to comply with evacuation orders and stay updated through official channels for the latest information.

There are no injuries reported and so far, no structures have been affected, but according to Jason Millsaps with Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough’s Office, several homes were evacuated and a shelter was being opened in Coldspring.
